Patches in the mouth is a symptom of Necrotic stomatitis, commonly known as 'mouth rot'. This is a common bacetrial infection generally caused by poor jaw alignment due to overgrown, damaged, or improperly trimmed beaks.

Remedial Measures
  1. Swabbing the infected areas with diluted (5-10%) Betadyne (or any other Iodine tincture)
      solution.

  2. In more established conditions oral antibiotics cephalosporins and amoxicillin can be provided.
