Patches in the mouth is a symptom of Necrotic stomatitis, commonly known as 'mouth rot'. This is a common bacetrial infection generally caused
by poor jaw alignment due to overgrown, damaged, or improperly trimmed beaks. Remedial Measures 1. Swabbing the infected areas with diluted (5-10%) Betadyne (or any other Iodine tincture) solution. 2. In more established conditions oral antibiotics cephalosporins and amoxicillin can be provided. |
